Download Lookeen Desktop Search

Release

You can download and test Lookeen for free for 14 days. Only a few steps are necessary to get your Lookeen® Desktop Search download up and running – the following instructions will help you. Please be sure that your PC meets the the system requirements before starting the desktop search installation. For customers with a registered license of version 10 or older: Version 12 of Lookeen Desktop Search is an upgrade with costs. This new version requires a new Lookeen Desktop Search license. You’ll get a discount for your upgrade license here.

1 Download and launch “Lookeen.exe”

Launch Lookeen.exe when it’s finished downloading.

2 Give permission to install Lookeen

Click “Continue” or “Run” when the security messages appear.

3 Install Lookeen on your PC

Follow the steps in the Lookeen Installation wizard. If you choose to integrate into Outlook, simply select this option in the wizard. Lookeen is capable of searching all Outlook data and files.

4 Ready

You can use Lookeen even while it’s indexing. To launch and customize Lookeen, simply hit Ctrl + Ctrl, or open Outlook if you’ve selected Outlook integration. For the best search results, please wait for your data indexing to be completed.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

IBM or a compatible Pentium® (700 MHz or higher), 512 MB RAM or higher, 100 MB hard disk space for installation, SVGA 800×600 with 256 colors (1024 x 768 with 16-Bit is recommended). Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 or Microsoft Windows® Vista (Mobile versions of Windows OS are not supported) / .NET Framework 4.0 or later (Download here)

GPO integration

With the purchase of our Business or Enterprise Edition, certain features are unlocked to make it easier for you to manage multiple licenses.

Business Edition

With the Business Edition, you can perform an unattended installation and will receive a detailed GPO guide (with more than 60 setup commands, several examples of ADM files and Reg files, etc.). You can use it for license key distribution, or to centrally manage the setup of Lookeen options during rollout.

Enterprise Edition

The Enterprise Edition includes all the same features as the Business Edition (e.g. Group Policies), plus you have the ability to add your own external indices to the index.
